Beatitudes of a Federated Woman
by Charlotte Moussel

BLESSED IS SHE
who stands firmly for good government, for she shall be needed.
BLESSED IS SHE
who works steadily for her nation, for she shall be happy.
BLESSED IS SHE
who believes in the cause she serves, for she shall be respected.
BLESSED IS SHE
who gives credit to her helpers, for she shall be successful.
BLESSED IS SHE
who has faith in her fellow man, for she shall be justified.
BLESSED IS SHE
who, when others criticize her and say all manner of evil about her, has the strength of character to forgive, the strength of purpose to carry on, and the strength of body to continue, for she shall be called, "A leader in the Federated Republican Woman".

The Marion County Republican
Women were organized in July
1988.  Membership the first year included thirty-seven women.  The Organizing President was Janice Conerly.  The following year, the officers that were installed were:  President, Kathy Henry; Vice-President, Eddie Strickland; Secretary, Janice Conerly; and Treasurer, Janice Haddox.  They were installed by Carolyn Pugh who was the MFRW State President in 1989.  Mark Henry was the guest Speaker.  Mark was serving as the current Marion County Republican Chairman. Mississippi first qualified with the NFRW in 1961.  Former club President and Marion County resident, Kathy Henry, served as State President from 2004-2006.  We are proud of Kathy and the work she did as a charter member for the MCRW.
